Jordan Isenstadt joined ABNY as Deputy Director during the summer of 2008. Jordan brings close to a decade of experience in government, campaign management, policy analysis, strategic communications, and public administration.
Prior to coming to ABNY, Jordan served as New York City Press Officer for New York State Governors Eliot Spitzer and David Paterson. During his tenure, Jordan executed high profile public media events, managed surrogate efforts for the 2008 State of the State address, and worked on developing public policy. He also served as the Governor’s primary media spokesman on issues of economic development, transportation infrastructure and affordable housing.
Before landing at the Governor’s office, Jordan worked as a Senior Account Executive at Edelman, a global public relations firm. At Edelman, Jordan developed client specific media programs to influence public opinion and promote regulatory issues. Jordan’s clients included the Lower Manhattan Construction Command Center, Dannon, Progressive Bag Alliance, Samsung, Berkeley College and Edison Schools.
Jordan also worked for over 5 years in a variety of capacities for the New York State Senate, including serving as Chief of Staff for State SenatorToby Ann Stavisky and Communications Director for State Senate Liz Krueger. During his time in the Senate, Jordan also gave much of his time to political campaigns, including campaigns for Senators Jeff Klein, Senator Andrea Stewart-Cousins, City Councilman Dan Garodnick and City Councilman Tony Avella.
Jordan received his Bachelors Degree from Brandeis University and a Masters in Public Administration from CUNY-Baruch College.
