One of the most special things about New York Says Thank You is the genuine sense of family we have built among our growing volunteer base all across America. Our volunteers comprise people from all walks of life, backgrounds, and faiths – young and old – and everyone brings a unique sense of culture to this family whether we come from small towns with one stoplight or big cities where skyscrapers define the landscape. We lovingly refer to our annual New York Says Thank You rebuilding projects as “Our Dysfunctional Family Reunion.” We are not really dysfunctional. Well, most of us, that is.
To help build that sense of community, we want this Volunteer Page to reflect that community. And we need your help to do that. So please send an e-mail to Denny@NewYorkSaysThankYou.org and include the following information:
1) Your name
2) Your hometown
3) NYSTY volunteer since (YEAR)
4) NYSTY volunteer projects you have been on
5) A picture/head shot of you
6) Your thoughts of “What New York Says Thank You means to me?” or your favorite memory/NYSTY experience
7) Your facebook link URL
Please send the above to Denny and we will continue to build this wonderful New York Says Thank You community page. Thanks!
